Exploring Qi and the Magic of Touch with Nick Neter and Louise Burt on Saturday, 14th December 3.30-6.00 pm

This new series of workshops explores the nature of Qi through the five elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Using Qigong, meditation, breathwork, art, Shiatsu touch and the senses we shall be working to understand, increase and develop our own awareness of the Qi.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), five elements or five phases theory outlines the relationship between the different elements in nature and the life force, or “Qi,” that flows through them. The five elements are Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water.

The intention is to have a better understanding of each element as it occurs in nature during the year and how that works in our bodies, hearts and minds. Using an eclectic mix of Qigong, Shiatsu, Meditation, the Breath and Art work, we shall explore the qualities of each element and through simple exercises enable each participant to deeply connect and explore each element’s qualities. In so doing we shall share our Shiatsu Touch with each other to effect ease, flow, flexibility and an increased sense of well being.

In this Water element workshop we shall be working with the Bladder and Kidneys with emphasis on our intention and the effort required to accomplish things, our willingness to act, the emotion of fear and our Jing, our source energy or ancestral Qi.

Places are limited to 8 people and the investment is £30. We ask for payment in advance to secure your place.
