QIGONG, MEDITATION and the MAGIC of the BREATH  with Nick Neter

As you become more sensitive to Qi in your Qigong practice,
you will become more sensitive to Qi in your everyday life.This opens new avenues of perception and awareness.

Come to a two hour  workshop to experience the ancient practices of Qigong and Meditation in a beautiful setting in the Sussex countryside.  We will  be exploring  the power of the breath with gentle, flowing movements and stillness, connecting with our own energy and that of nature.

Qigong , derived from the Chinese “qi” and “gong” means working with the life force  to develop  vitality, strength, and wellbeing. Qigong is also a path to greater self awareness and understanding of our true nature.

Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years and can be done by people of all faith traditions. With the practice of meditation the mind settles and a sense of ease, tranquillity and joy arise. This can lead to insight and wisdom.istocktai_chi_000003260776small[1]

This two hour workshop has grown from discussions with my Tuesday evening group who suggested a Qigong and Meditation workshop to give more time to our work in our classes which we have been learning and exploring together and for a longer meditation. All are welcome though priority will be given to those who regularily attend my classes. Booking is essential as places are limited.

The Meditation is usually visualisation based, an inner journey to develop and explore more about our inner world and create new awarenesses. It is also an opportunity  to learn and develop  some letting go and relaxation techniques to work with ourselves.

Kirtan (keer-tan) is a form of singing or chanting, which is part of the Bhakti path of yoga. It can be a meditative and joyous experience that anyone can benefit from, you don’t need to be a singer to participate!

Saturdays, 29th February, 28th March and 25th April Time: 7 – 9pm

We will sing in call-and-response (we will sing a line, and invite you to sing it back to us) and will be accompanied by beautiful acoustic harmonium and dolac and djembe drums. The rhythm will build over several minutes, and then we will return to a place of stillness allowing us to enjoy the soothing effects of the sound on the body and mind.

We will be together for two hours, with time to come together initially, and to share tea afterwards should you wish to stay until 9pm to rest in the soothing atmosphere of the yurt, set in the lovely countryside, and warmed by a calming woodburner.
