What is Qi?How can we experience Qi directly and develop our understanding of the energy of life?
Saturday, 14th December 3.30 – 6pm
Using an eclectic mix of Qigong, Shiatsu, Meditation and Visualisations, the Breath and Art work, we shall explore the qualities of Qi within the Five elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as they occur in the seasons. Through simple exercises we shall enable each participant to deeply connect with their own Qi and Universal Qi. In so doing we shall also share our unique quality of touch with each other to effect ease, flow, flexibility and an increased sense of well being.
In this December Water element workshop we shall be working with the Bladder and Kidneys with emphasis on our intention and the effort required to accomplish things, our willingness to act, the emotion of fear and our Jing, our source energy or ancestral Qi.

“Touch your inner space, which is nothingness, as silent and empty as the sky; it is your inner sky. Once you settle down in your inner sky, you have come home, and a great maturity arises in your actions, in your behavior. Then whatever you do has grace in it. Then whatever you do is a poetry in itself. You live poetry; your walking becomes dancing, your silence becomes music.” ~Osho
As you become more sensitive to Qi in your Qigong practice,
you will become more sensitive to Qi in your everyday life. This opens new avenues of perception and awareness.
Saturday, 16th November Time: 3.30am -5.30pm
Investment:£18. Booking required. All welcome though priority will be given to regular attenders of my classes.
Come to a two hour workshop to experience the ancient practices of Qigong and Meditation in a beautiful setting in the Sussex countryside. We will be exploring the power of the breath with gentle, flowing movements and stillness, connecting with our own energy and that of nature.
“At the centre of your being
you have the answer;
You know who you are
and you know what you want.”
Qigong , derived from the Chinese “qi” and “gong” means working with the life force to develop vitality, strength, and wellbeing. Qigong is also a path to greater self awareness and understanding of our true nature.
Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years and can be done by people of all faith traditions. With the practice of meditation the mind settles and a sense of ease, tranquillity and joy arise. This can lead to insight and wisdom.
This two hour workshop has grown from discussions with my Tuesday evening group who suggested a Qigong and Meditation workshop to give more time to our work in our classes which we have been learning and exploring together and for a longer meditation. All are welcome though priority will be given to those who regularily attend my classes. Booking is essential as places are limited.
The Meditation is usually visualisation based, an inner journey to develop and explore more about our inner world and create new awarenesses. It is also an opportunity to learn and develop some letting go and relaxation techniques to work with ourselves.
The Shiatsu Clinic
The Shiatsu Clinics are becoming more and more popular with a mixture of regular clients who love to receive Shiatsu but cannot afford regular prices and new clients who would like to experience Shiatsu at a cost of their choosing!
Shiatsu is a holistic Japanese bodywork therapy that has its roots in traditional oriental medicine, Amna massage and acupressure. Shiatsu uses the power of touch and pressure, as well as a variety of stretches and rotations to encourage the balanced free flow of energy, called Ki in Japanese, through out the body. Deeply relaxing and revitalising, Shiatsu can benefit a wide range of conditions. Shiatsu is received fully clothed.
These clinics provide a wonderful opportunity to have a deeply relaxing, revitalizing and healing Shiatsu treatment from a fully qualified Shiatsu Practitioner for a small donation. This is affordable to the client however we suggest £15 for half an hour and £25 for an hour. Truly excellent value. There are appointments available for booking or take a chance and just walk in and we shall endeavour to see you as soon as possible. Text or phone 07773061309 to book your place. We look forward to working with you.
“Shiatsu can improve specific conditions, reduce pain, increase mobility as well as promote a feeling of calmness and general wellbeing.”
Professor Andrew Long, European Shiatsu Federation research at University of Leeds
